The AI assistant

The assistant is a chat helper built into Wyroo. You type to it in plain language, like a message to a colleague, and it helps you stay on top of your own projects, board cards, and notes. It can find things for you, draft a card or a note, and answer questions about what is going on across your work.

Note: The assistant is a preview feature. It is being rolled out gradually, so it may not be switched on for your account yet. If you do not see the assistant button, it is not available to you at the moment.

Think of it as a sharp project assistant who already knows your projects. It only ever sees and discusses your own work in Wyroo, nothing more. Here is what it is good at:

  • Finding things. Ask what is open, overdue, in progress, or assigned to you. It can search your board cards, your notes, your projects, and the people and roles on a project.
  • Capturing work. Tell it to add a card to a board or jot down a note, and it will, after fixing any obvious typos in the words you save.
  • Giving you the picture. Ask for a status overview of one project or all of them, or what needs attention right now (overdue, due this week, or unassigned and high priority).
  • Searching your files. Find a document, drawing, photo, or PDF by name, project, or folder.
  • Answering from documents. When document search is on, it can look inside your project files and PDF notes and answer from what they actually say, naming the source file.
  • Acting for you. Move a card to another column, mark it done, assign it to someone, set or change a role on cards, or schedule and complete a note. It cannot delete files, only move or rename them.
  • Looking at a photo. Attach a site photo (a defect or unfinished detail) and it will describe what it sees and offer to capture it as a card (a “snag”) on the right project.

Tip: The assistant works in your language. Greet it in Dutch and it will reply in Dutch.

  1. Look for the round assistant button in the lower-right corner of the screen.
  2. Click it. The chat opens as a full-screen panel over your work.
  3. Type your question or request in the box at the bottom and press Enter to send. Use Shift+Enter for a new line.
  4. To close it, use the close control on the panel. Your conversation is remembered, so you can pick it up again.

To send a photo, click the photo button next to the message box and choose an image. If your browser supports it, you can also use the microphone button to dictate your message instead of typing.

  1. Be specific. “What is overdue on the Riverside job?” works better than “anything late?”.
  2. Refer to a card by its number when you know it, for example WYR-42 (the project code plus a number).
  3. For an action that touches several cards at once, the assistant will list exactly what it plans to change and ask you to confirm with Yes / No buttons before it does anything. Read the list, then confirm.
  4. If it asks which item you mean, pick from what it shows. It only acts on the items it actually listed.
  • It is not a general chatbot. It will politely decline questions outside your Wyroo work, such as the news, the weather, or general trivia, and steer back to your projects.
  • It works only with your own projects, cards, and notes. It cannot see other people’s private work.
  • There is no undo. That is why it asks you to confirm before any change that affects more than one item. Check the list it shows before saying Yes.
  • When it captures your words into a card or note, it tidies clear typos but never changes your meaning or rewrites your text.
  • It can be wrong, like any assistant. Treat its summaries and suggestions as a helpful starting point, and glance at the real card or file when it matters.

Tip: A quick way to start your day is to ask “what needs my attention today?” and let the assistant pull together what is overdue, due soon, or waiting on you.

If you would rather work hands-on, everything the assistant does you can also do yourself. See The board (Kanban) for the board and Working with cards for the full card.
