Projects

A project is the home for one building or interior job. It holds the plan, the tasks, the files and the conversation for that job in one place. Think of it as a folder for everything to do with a single renovation, fit-out or build, shared with everyone who works on it.

Every project gives you and your team a shared starting point. From a project you reach:

  • The board: a set of cards (small task notes) you move through columns as the work progresses.
  • The spaces (rooms or areas) that make up the job, like a kitchen, a hallway or a floor.
  • The files for the project: drawings, photos, quotes and documents.
  • The team: the people who work on the project, including partners and clients you invite.
  • The conversation: comments where the team talks things through.

Each project also gets a short code: a few uppercase letters such as LIVI or DQHQ. Wyroo creates this code for you from the project name, and it stays unique within your company. The code is the prefix on every card number on the board (for example, LIVI-12), so it is easy to refer to a task in a message or on site.

You create a project with a short wizard (a guided form). It takes one step.

  1. From the projects page, select Create project. If you have no projects yet, the same button sits in the middle of the empty page.
  2. Give the project a clear name, for example “Living Room Renovation” or “Office Fit-out, 2nd Floor”.
  3. Choose the type that fits best. The choices are:
    • Residential: homes, apartments and private living spaces.
    • Commercial: offices, retail and business environments.
    • Public: government, healthcare and educational buildings.
    • Specialized: hospitality, events and unique spaces.
  4. Add a short description if you like. This is optional and you can change it later.
  5. Select Create project.

That is it. Wyroo creates the project, gives it a code, and shows a short confirmation. From there you can open the new project, or create another one straight away.

Tip: Do not worry about getting everything right up front. The name, type, description and image can all be changed later from the project settings. The fastest way to start is a clear name and the closest type.

A project image is the picture shown on the project and on its tile in the list. It is a nice way to tell projects apart at a glance, for example a photo of the building or a reference image.

  1. Open the project.
  2. At the top of the page, select the image area. If there is no image yet, you will see an “Add project image” box.
  3. Choose a picture from your device. You can use a JPG, PNG or WebP file up to 5 MB.

To change or remove an image later, hover over the existing image and use Change or the remove button. Wyroo will ask you to confirm before removing it.

Opening a project takes you to its overview page. At a glance it shows:

  • The project name, type and code.
  • The project image.
  • A pulse of what needs attention: open cards, work due this week, anything overdue, and recent conversation.
  • Tiles for the spaces in the project, so you can jump straight into a room.
  • The people on the project.

From here you move into the board, the spaces, the files or the team, depending on what you want to do next.

All your projects live on the projects page. They appear as tiles in a grid, newest first. Each tile shows the code, name, type, the team avatars, and the cards on the board that are assigned to you, so you can see your own work without opening the project.

To find a specific project, use the search box at the top. You can search by name, by code, or by words from the description, and the list filters as you type. Only active projects appear here; archived projects are kept separately so the list stays focused on current work.

Tip: The search box matches the project code too. If you remember a card number like DQHQ-12, typing DQHQ jumps straight to that project.
